Friends and wines.
What better to drink with which one feels more comfortable? Tasters
On Line, I would say a Dealer Friend ...

An interesting wine, and different.

IG 2007 Oak Corbeau Winery
Bournett, 12.8%, San Rafael - Mza.

Ave Malbec Premium 2007
further projects Perdriel Mza (950msnm), 14.3%
Aged 8 months in French Oak and 9 months in bottle.
Winemaker: Alberto Antonini and Mariano Vignoni
Deep red, like pure blood. Vivid fuchsia with sparkles.
very fruity aromas, where I could not point out any descriptor. With the passage of time and temperature gain, a note of fresh cedar.
Good acidity on the palate, which makes it very fresh. Fruit appears that pump again. Final
mouth is disconcerting: Agrio.
Interesting. With great expectation, surprised but did not reach the end.

2007 Finca Las Nubes

Paso Doble 2007
Masi Tupungato, Tupungato, Mza. 13,68% de Alcohol
70% Malbec con 30% de Corvina Veronese
Doble Fermentacion * Malbec with raisin grapes Corvina semi
Deep red, purple and reflections detello cherry, with an average depth
highlight the fruit in flavors like cherry, and flowers as the family of blue flowers.
With a little time, you notice something well integrated wood and a mineral note that gives it complexity.
In the mouth, unfortunately fell a lot. Completely lacking tannin structure. Step
mouth completely intransigent and forgettable. Short and thin would be more accurate descriptors.
A shame, because the nose was exuberant, and was standing to be a great wine in the mouth. Also, are eager to try again and also to meet his elder brother Corbec .

Preludio Barrel Select 2004 - Lot 77
Establishment Juanico - Family Deicas
Juanico, Canelones. 13% Alcohol. 22 months in oak
40% Tannat, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc 20%, 12% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, 2% Marselan.
Color Red plum, flashes reminiscent of cherry, clear, bright and deep.
despliga The nose is an important palette of aromas, indicating considerable complexity.
sweet aroma of ripe berries, Cassis and Raspberry. Earthy and woody.
then appear faint aromas of caramel, chocolate and cherry liqueur.
The palate is frank. Attack fruity with marked acidity and tannins present, tasty and meaty, which would allow a good evolution (If someone has the willpower to keep it)
retronasal scents adds a bit of snuff green leaves without fermentation.
The average mouth is heavy and sticky. For the final booking a slight bitter aftertaste, which makes him happy.
In my opinion, the best wine of the night. Complex and powerful, without losing the elegance. Great Blend.

Having been the host of this evening, allowed me to hold the remains of the last 3 bottles, and some of Corbeau

The Prelude, improved in terms of aromas, and after 22 hours uncorked keeps intact the mouth.
In the nose, more noticeable aromas of chocolate and sweet highlight.
The Corbeau, continued: Boring, irrelevant.
El Paso Doble, unfortunately shot in acidity.
The Finca Las Nubes, woke Cabernet and bell pepper seemed to cover the rest. The mouth, again impeccable.

The menu?

Entree: Frankfurt with Sauerkraut (German sausage with cabbage spicy mustard vinaigrette)
Premier Plat: soft Pulses (lentil stew with pork sausage, bacon, salt beef and various vegetables)
Pre Dessert: Light Stroissel (green apples baked with raisins and dark blond, with cinnamon sugar)
Dessert: citrus tart with lemon cream and Italian meringue.

There remains the explanation of the Doppia Fermentazione

Double Fermentation:

is a way to make wine, much used in Italy. Masi is an enterprise Tupungato MASI AGRICOLA SPA Italian firm that has vineyards in Venice, Tuscany and Mendoza.
This double fermentation is to produce a base wine, the first strain with a complete fermentation (16 days at 23/28 ° C). After harvest the grapes from the 2nd variety semipasificadas.
In this case the principal strain is the Malbec and the second is the Corvina Veronese. The must of grapes semipasificadas of Corvina, add the wine Malbec and proceed to the second fermentation (15 days at 18/20 ° C).
That time is achieved with this method? More
extract concentration and coloring matter. Complexity
aromas. Richer tannins and slightly power alcohol. Interesting
method, widespread in Italy, especially in the Amarone.
The first wine which was used this double fermentation, as anecdotal data was the Venetian wine " CAMPOFIORIN " in 1964. With

Marichal Juan Andrés, by the great wine we drank as input. We will continue testing the wines from this small sized storage. With

Santiago Deicas (in so many personal reasons) and enjoy this great wine. A great example of the Upper East Range. Thanks to

Dealer to Mr. Crow, and M. Bruxism for sharing this dinner.
to them until next week through Cabernets.

to you until the next post.
(I hope soon !)

Emiliano
